About Me

When I grow up I want to be a painter.

That's what I used to say when I was little, and here I am, I became a painter. Well, sort of, only that my brushes are on Photoshop.

Websites

I'm a web designer, which means that I sit in front of my computer to create beautiful websites. I'm 25 years old and I live in Barranquilla, Colombia. I also like to code, so I develop websites and applications as well.

I remember my first application, a little game in Visual Basic in which you had to click on a jumping face. My father introduced me to programming and from there I learned a lot by myself motivated by my obsession to create videogames.

For some crazy reasons I ended studying electronics engineering (I had another obsession about creating robots), but I kept improving my coding skills and during the final years of my university studies I fell in love with web design.

With little more than a couple of HTML/CSS/PHP lessons and a huge ammount of motivation I started to study about making websites. After thousands of hours of reading, trying tutorials and browsing web design blogs, I decided to work as a freelancer. About a year later I partnered with a friend and started our own web design and development company.

I own a small karate club in Barranquilla, which I founded with my sister on 2004. I made the website for our club, which soon became my playground for all the things I learned about web design. It is now a karate blog, where I post articles and resources for all those passionated by this martial art.

Aside from karate and web design, I have other hobbies such as music, movies and videogames. I spend a lot of my free time surfing the web and reading blogs about these topics. I share in my blog some of the interesting stuff I find everyday on the blogosphere, as well as some thoughts and info about my personal projects.

I hope you enjoy your visit. Please stop by my projects page and don't forget to take a look at my blog. Also, feel free to follow me on my social profiles:
